Prof. Dr. Aránzazu del Campo Bécares is a Scientific Director at the INM – Leibniz Institute for New Materials and Professor of Materials Synthesis at the Faculty of Chemistry at Saarland University. Her group develops instructive materials that interface with living cells to bioengineer tissues and living therapeutic devices. A current focus is on drug-eluting bandage contact lenses.
Prof. Dr. Aránzazu del Campo Bécares ist Wissenschaftliche Geschäftsführerin am INM – Leibniz-Institut für Neue Materialien und Professorin für Materialsynthese an der Fakultät für Chemie der Universität des Saarlandes. Ihre Forschungsgruppe entwickelt instruktive Materialien, die mit lebenden Zellen interagieren, um Gewebe biotechnologisch herzustellen und lebende therapeutische Systeme zu entwickeln. Ein aktueller Forschungsschwerpunkt sind wirkstofffreisetzende Verbandkontaktlinsen.
